The Faculty of Social Sciences consists of four departments and schools; these are all leading institutions in Denmark and continuously attract attention in international research environments:
The individual departments and schools have a considerable degree of academic freedom and responsibility as well as financial independence within the frames set up by the dean.

The School of Economics and Management offer
specialized courses and research training in the
following areas:
The school has approximately 44 faculty members and
28 PhD students. Approximately 1,000 students are
enrolled at the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme
in Economics and Management or in Business
Administration at the school.

PhD students. Approximately 2,200 students are enrolled
at the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme at the

Since 1 August 2006, the Institute of Business and
Technology (AU-IBT) in Herning has been a centre under
the Faculty of Social Sciences.
With innovation as a core competency, the institute offers
specialized training in a number of subjects. The
institute has approximately 110 permanently employed
staff members and approximately 110 temporary lecturers.

The Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research carries out alcohol and drug research, primarily within the areas of human science and the social sciences.
